Resources for Youth Experiencing Homelessness

CLC has developed a comprehensive resource guide for youth experiencing homelessness or who are at risk of homelessness.  This guidebook contains information about the various organizations that provide services for youth, including legal services, shelter, housing, medical services, clothing, food, mental health services, and advocacy.  The Resources for Youth Experiencing Homelessness guide can be downloaded here.

Transitional Housing Programs

THE BRIDGE FOR YOUTH

Offers an innovative housing and support program for youth 16−17 years old who need extra time before reconnecting with family or moving to an alternative living space.

Provides affordable housing for single youth.

Offers transitional housing for homeless youth ages 16-21 who are from Ramsey County.

THE ARCHDALE

Offers apartments for homeless youth ages 16-20.

SAFEZONE TRANSITIONAL HOUSING

Helps homeless youth leave the streets, obtain safe housing, and transition to self-sufficient living. Located in downtown St. Paul and for youth 14-20.

BOOTH BROWN HOUSE FOYER PROGRAM

A housing program designed to help youth ages 16-21 who are making the transition from dependence to independence.

SEVENTH LANDING

Provides apartment living to youth who have been in out-of-home care.

ST. BARNABAS APARTMENTS

Offers housing to youth ages 16-21 whose families are unable or unwilling to care for them.

TRANSITIONAL HOUSING FOR UNIQUE POPULATIONS

BEVERLY A. BENJAMIN YOUTH LODGE / AIN DAH YUNG

Offers transitional living services, emergency shelter, and supportive group living for Native American youth ages 16-20.

BREAKING FREE

Provides transitional housing and rental assistance to teens and women involved in, and attempting to escape from, prostitution and domestic violence.

CORNERSTONE ADVOCACY PROJECT

Offers a transitional living program in Bloomington for women ages 17 and up, with children, who are survivors of domestic violence.

JEREMIAH PROGRAM

Provides transitional housing and support services to single mothers (age 18 and up) and their children.
