Every child deserves a champion who will stand by them and fight for their rights. At Children’s Law Center of Minnesota (CLC), we are dedicated to ensuring that children and youth in Minnesota’s child welfare system have their voices heard and their rights protected.
Who We Serve
Our focus is on children and youth, ages 10 and older, who find themselves in the foster care system or involved in child protection proceedings. Each year, we provide free legal representation to over 400 young clients, ensuring they have a voice in court and in the decisions that shape their lives.
Our Reach
- Over 400 young clients receive our services annually.
- More than 200 volunteer attorneys are trained and supported each year.
- Children’s Law Center of Minnesota secured a landmark court decision protecting non-delinquent foster youth from being unlawfully detained in juvenile detention facilities.
