Lights, Camera, Impact! Help Make the Magic Happen

Join Children’s Law Center of Minnesota as we celebrate our 31st annual Celebration of Champions Benefit. Volunteers help create a welcoming, organized, and memorable experience for our guests while supporting CLC’s mission.

Event Details

  • Date: Thursday, September 24, 2026
  • Time: 5:00–8:00 p.m.
  • Location: Hollywood Theater, Minneapolis

Volunteer Opportunities

We have a variety of roles to match your interests and skills. Detailed instructions and a brief orientation will be provided to all volunteers before or upon arrival.

Arrival: 2:00 p.m.
Help arrange auction tables and displays, unpack and organize items, place signs and bidding information, and prepare the auction area before guests arrive.
Three volunteers needed.

Arrival: 4:30–4:45 p.m.
Welcome guests outside and inside the theater, answer questions about valet service and the event, direct guests to registration and activities, and assist with general wayfinding. Volunteers should plan to remain until 8:00 PM.
Five volunteers needed.

Arrival: 2:00 p.m.
Help organize nametags, programs, registration materials, and guest check-in supplies before the event.
One volunteer needed.

Arrival: 4:45 p.m.
Check in guests, distribute nametags and programs, answer questions, and direct guests to seating and event activities.
Two volunteers needed.

Arrival: 5:15 p.m.
Talk with guests about CLC’s volunteer opportunities, collect contact information from interested volunteers, and answer basic questions about CLC.
One volunteer needed.

Arrival: 4:45 p.m.
Help create excitement during the live auction, watch for bids, assist the auctioneer in identifying active bidders, document winning bidder information and final bid amounts, and communicate results to the auctioneer and checkout team. Two volunteers will also record portions of the auction using their phones.
Eight volunteers needed.

Arrival: 4:30 p.m.
Invite guests to participate in the Hollywood-style photo opportunity, organize accessories and props, help take photographs, and keep the area moving smoothly.
Two volunteers needed.

Arrival: 4:30 p.m.
Welcome guests to the courtyard, explain the featured activity, monitor supplies and displays, and help keep the area safe and organized.
Two volunteers needed.

Arrival: 2:00 p.m. or later, as arranged.
Help test and monitor microphones, videos, presentation slides, sound, and other technology used during the program. Volunteers should have appropriate AV or technology experience.
One volunteer needed.

Arrival: 4:30 p.m.
Photograph guests, speakers, awardees, sponsors, activities, décor, and important moments throughout the evening. The photographer should be able to provide CLC with high-resolution images after the event.
One volunteer needed.

A Note on Flexibility

As we finalize event logistics, some volunteer assignments may shift. We will make every effort to place volunteers in their selected roles, but volunteers may be asked to assist in another area or transition to a different assignment during the evening. We appreciate everyone’s flexibility, teamwork, and willingness to help wherever needed.
