Children’s Law Center of Minnesota is pleased to announce that we now accept donations of real estate and other property, expanding the ways supporters can make a lasting impact for children and youth in foster care.
In addition to vehicle donations, stocks, and donor-advised funds, supporters can now donate property, including land, homes, or commercial real estate, to benefit the work of the Children’s Law Center of Minnesota. The organization has partnered with Charitable Adult Rides & Services (CARS) to process real estate donations.
The program accepts property in any location and of any type, as long as there is equity in the property. Even if a property has a mortgage balance, back taxes, or deferred maintenance, the program can still accept it. Loans, liens, commissions, and closing costs are paid through the program, making the donation process simple for donors.
Donating property can be a meaningful way to give back, especially for individuals who own real estate that is no longer being used or has become a financial burden. In many cases, donors may also be eligible for a significant tax deduction.
Proceeds from property donations support Children’s Law Center of Minnesota’s mission to promote and protect the legal rights and well-being of children and youth through legal advocacy, educational outreach, and policy reform.
