Looking for a meaningful way to give back without a long-term commitment? Join us as a one-time volunteer and help make a direct impact in the lives of Minnesota youth in foster care.

Whether you’re cheering on runners at our A Brighter Day 5K & Family Walk, welcoming guests at our Indeed We Can Brewery event, lending a hand at our Annual Benefit, or helping collect essentials for our Hygiene Supply Drive, your time and energy help strengthen CLC’s mission and bring our community together.

We welcome individuals, families, corporate groups, and friends to roll up their sleeves and volunteer for a day — and make a lasting difference.

Current One-Time Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer at CLC’s 30th Anniversary Celebration of Champions Benefit
Thursday, September 18, 2025 | 5:30 – 8:00 PM
Nicollet Island Pavilion, Minneapolis

Join us for one of the most meaningful evenings of the year—Children’s Law Center of Minnesota’s 30th Anniversary Celebration of Champions Benefit! This special milestone event raises critical funds to support legal advocacy for youth in foster care—and we couldn’t do it without our incredible team of volunteers.

Whether you’re a people person, detail-oriented, or just want to lend a hand, there’s a role for everyone. Volunteers are needed throughout the afternoon and evening, and all roles come with on-site support and training.

Volunteer Opportunities Include:

Silent Auction Set-Up (Arrival: 2:00 PM)
Help arrange tables, hang signs, display auction items, and get familiar with the bidding process.

Dessert Table Set-Up (Arrival: 2:00 PM)
Unpack and beautifully display desserts for guests to enjoy.

Registration Table (Arrival: 2:00 PM for set-up / 4:45 PM for guest check-in)
Welcome guests, check them in, provide name tags and programs, and answer event questions.

Greeters & Information Guides (Arrival: 4:45 PM)
Make guests feel welcome and assist with directions, seating, and general event info.

Accessibility Support (Arrival: 4:45 PM)
Assist guests who need help with accessible entry.

Volunteer Information Table (Arrival: 2:00 PM for set-up / 5:15 PM for guest interaction)
Share how to get involved with CLC and answer general questions.

Live Auction Support (Arrival: 4:45 PM)
Get the crowd energized, assist with tracking bids, and help the auctioneer as needed.

Auction Recording & Reporting (Arrival: 4:45 PM)
Record video or write down winning bids to help ensure accuracy.

Silent Auction Check-Out (Evening)
Help distribute items to winning bidders at the end of the night.

Fund-a-Need Support (Arrival: 4:45 PM)
Assist during this live fundraising moment by spotting bids and recording donations.

AV/Tech Support (Arrival: 2:00 PM or after)
Help ensure sound, video, and slides run smoothly during the program.

Photography Support (Arrival: 4:30 PM)
Help our photographer capture moments throughout the event.
