In-kind donations help Children’s Law Center of Minnesota (CLC) stretch every dollar further and expand our ability to support youth in foster care. Whether you’re an individual, business, or community group, your in-kind gift—of goods, services, or expertise—makes a lasting difference. Below are the key areas where we currently accept in-kind donations:
What We Can Accept
1. Supplies for Youth
Donated items are distributed directly to the children and youth we serve. These items help meet immediate needs and promote dignity, confidence, and success.
We gratefully accept new, unopened items such as:
- Hygiene supplies (toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo, menstrual products)
- School supplies (notebooks, backpacks, pens)
- Clothing and shoes (especially for teens and young adults)
- Personal care items (combs, brushes, hair products)
- Organizational tools (planners, folders, storage bins)
- Laptops or tablets in good working condition (for school, job applications, or court appearances)

2. Pro Bono Legal Services
Volunteer attorneys are essential to CLC’s mission. We train and support more than 200 volunteer lawyers who provide free legal representation to children and youth in foster care. These donated legal services are considered a vital form of in-kind support, and we welcome professionals interested in joining our pro bono network.
