Children’s Law Center of Minnesota (CLC) invites supporters, families, and community members to join us for the 2nd Annual A Brighter Day 5K & Family Walk on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Lake Phalen in Saint Paul.
This fun, family-friendly event brings people together for a meaningful cause: supporting children and youth in foster care. Every step taken and every dollar raised helps CLC provide free legal representation to youth, ensuring their voices are heard and their rights are protected.
Participants can choose from three ways to participate:
• In-Person 5K Run (9:00 AM start)
• In-Person Family Walk (9:30 AM start)
• Virtual 5K Run/Walk (complete anytime May 10–31 from anywhere)
The in-person event will take place at Phalen Regional Park (1600 Phalen Dr, Saint Paul, MN 55106) and features a scenic route around beautiful Lake Phalen, along with a welcoming, community-centered atmosphere.

Registration Pricing
• $30 through April 19, 2026
• $40 from April 20 through May 15
• $50 on race day
All registered participants receive an event t-shirt. Children ages 11 and under may participate for free but will not receive a race bib or t-shirt unless registered.
Race Day Schedule
• Packet pick-up: 7:30 AM
• 5K Run start: 9:00 AM
• Family Walk start: 9:10 AM
Participate From Anywhere
If you can’t attend in person, the virtual option allows you to participate from anywhere in the world between May 10 and May 31. Invite friends and family from across the country—or across the globe—to join you and support CLC youth.
