Get Paid To Participate In This Research Study! (Ages 18+)

You can earn up to $50 and help improve extended foster care in Minnesota!

What is this study about?

The Minnesota Office of the Foster Youth Ombudsperson (OOFY) has hired the research center Child Trends to study how Fosters (people with experience in foster care, no matter their age or how they left foster care) learn about and decide to use extended foster care (EFC services support the transition to adulthood for Fosters 18-21). We want to gather many different stories from Fosters, ages 18 and older, who are or were eligible for EFC in Minnesota. We can help you find out if you meet this requirement. This information can help OOFY make EFC easier to access and use.

What will happen if I join the study?

If you agree to join the study, you may be invited to join a one-on-one virtual interview for either 30 or 45 minutes.

We will ask you questions about how you learned about extended foster care and any experiences you have had with the program, like services and supports. You do not have to be currently enrolled in extended foster care to join this study.

What will happen with the information I share?

We will share your name and date of birth with the Office of the Ombudsperson for Foster Youth (OOFY) only to find out if you are/were eligible for extended foster care. All other information collected will be confidential, and any written reports will combine everyone’s experiences without including your name or anything that could identify you.

If you’re interested in being interviewed, scan the QR code to the left or fill out the Recruitment Form: https://survey.alchemer.com/s3/8251901/MN-Services-Study-Recruitment-Form.
