Children Law Center annually identifies one law firm or corporation whose work on behalf of CLC’s clients exemplifies the commitment and dedication to pro bono representation that is the foundation of our mission.  This year, Children’s Law Center is pleased to present Association of Corporate Counsel – Minnesota Chapter (ACC-MN), with the “Distinguished Service Award”.

ACC-MN is honored with the Distinguished Service Award for their extraordinary dedication and commitment to representing children and youth in foster care and for their exemplary commitment to uplifting the work of CLC.

Their commitment to representing youth in foster care is demonstrated by ACC-MN board leadership, the Executive Director of ACC-MN and corporate counsel members who themselves are CLC volunteer attorneys and champions of CLC.

ACC-MN has partnered with since at least 2015. And from 2015-2019, ACC-MN hosted a Gala every spring in support of Children’s Law Center. All proceeds of the fun Casino Royale were donated to CLC. What a gift and partnership!

In addition, ACC-MN assists CLC with volunteer attorney recruitment, sharing training events, and offering times for the CLC executive director to speak at ACC-MN trainings, and more.

In the past few years, having a gala was not possible due to the pandemic. However, the support from ACC-MN only increased!  ACC-MN development committee, board and executive director actively advocated for CLC’s virtual events, assisting with securing sponsorships, donating live auction items, and promoting the event among the corporate counsel membership.
